Ambulatory Services
Three Counties Equine Hospital provides a comprehensive ambulatory service that benefits from the backup of our extensively equipped equine hospital.
WHAT CAN WE DO:
Our ambulatory vets are happy to visit your horse at your home or yard. Many services such as routine examinations, lameness assessments, vaccinations, dentistry, castrations, reproductive work and annual health checks are available.
In addition, our vets will undertake more advanced procedures such as ultrasound scanning, endoscopy and radiography. Our nurses are keen to help and will often attend with the vet for these more advanced procedures.
We also offer zone visit days. You can benefit from a half price visit fee when the vet is in your area on a set day of the week. These are for routine procedures.

If you are unsure whether your horse needs to visit the hospital for a procedure or if it can be done on the road, please talk to reception. They will help and will get advice from one of our vets if necessary.
Our Ambulatory Services
Zone Visits
Save with discounted routine zone visits in your local area. Simply book at book at least 24 hours before.
Reproduction
We are a BEVA-registered artificial insemination centre with mobile equipment, allowing us to offer a host of reproductive services at your yard.
Exports
Our vets are licensed for certifying horses for export and can assist you with arranging the right documentation, as well as any pre-exports bloods and vaccinations.
Pre-Purchase Examinations
We can carry out full, five-stage pre-purchase examinations at your premises. This service is available to clients and non-clients
Paraprofessionals
We are always happy to work alongside farriers, physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and equine dental technicians to facilitate the best outcome for your horses.
Nurse and weight clinics
We can run clinics from your yard using our portable weigh bridge. Appointments can include full health checks, official height measurement and calculation of your horse’s ideal body weight.
EMERGENCIES:
If you have an emergency at any time, please call us on 01684 592099. We have team members on call at all hours to offer support and advice.
We understand that emergencies happen, and we have cover in place 24 hours a day to help with anything. If attendance to your horse is needed, one of our vets will be there as soon as possible.
