Nurse and weight clinics

Our nurse-led weight management clinics are designed to work with you, supporting your horse’s health in a practical and achievable way. Visits take place at your yard using our portable weigh bridge, allowing your horse to be accurately weighed in a familiar, low-stress environment. Each clinic includes a full health check (temperature, pulse and respiration), unofficial height measurement, and calculation of your horse’s ideal body weight, helping to set clear, realistic goals. You will also receive a weight record booklet to track progress between visits.

Our registered veterinary nurses take time to understand your horse’s routine, diet, and workload, using this information to provide an assessment of current management and create a personalised feeding plan that is practical and works for you and your horse. Our nurses are available to answer questions and offer ongoing guidance via email or phone call, supporting you throughout your  horses weight management journey and helping you make confident, informed decisions for your horse’s long-term wellbeing.
