Careers and vacancies
Join the Three Counties team
We are always open to hearing from qualified vets, nurses and support team professionals who are interested in joining our practice.
Located in the heart of the Three Counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, our equine veterinary hospital in Tewkesbury has been proudly delivering outstanding first opinion, referral, hospital-based and ambulatory veterinary care to the area since 1989. The excellent facilities at our hospital mean that we are able to treat the large majority of our cases in-house, and we see a diverse range of patients, from elite racehorses to pet ponies.
We also run a complete ambulatory service for clients across the region, which includes 24/7 emergency visits.
We are especially proud of the way our talented team works together. Our team members enjoy a varied working day, and are actively encouraged to pursue extra qualifications and certificates in the fields that interest them.
For a confidential, informal chat about our availability, get in touch.
We are committed to providing a fair recruitment process with equality of opportunity for all, and our vacancies are open to those from all backgrounds.

Work experience
We are happy to provide work experience placements three days a week (Tuesday to Thursday) for school pupils (aged 15 years and over) who are particularly interested in pursuing an equine veterinary nursing or medicine career.
Placements are offered on an observational basis. Pupils can work alongside our veterinary surgeons and nursing team at our hospital.
These placements may be part of the formal school work experience programme or arranged informally during school holidays.
Places are limited, so early application is advisable, either in writing or via email to [email protected] (please address your message to Miss L Ayres).

Extra-mural studies (EMS)
We accept veterinary students for extra-mural studies placements, and recommend that EMS students spend a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of four weeks with us.
During their time with us, students will have the opportunity to observe and assist in many aspects of equine medicine and surgery. Students will also be able to go out on calls with our veterinary surgeons.
While we are not able to provide onsite accommodation, we can supply a list of fantastic local accommodation providers.
Places are limited, so early application is advisable, either in writing or via email to [email protected], using the subject line “EMS”.
