Liam qualified from University College Dublin in 1983. He worked in Fermoy, County Cork and Eastwood Nottingham before moving to Upton upon Severn in 1986. He was a co-founding partner of Kearns & Rea Veterinary Surgeons in 1989.
Liam’s main interests are in Sport horse disciplines; racing, point-to-pointing, eventing and dressage, including pre-purchase examinations. He serves on the vetting panel at Tattersalls Ireland Cheltenham sales. He is a former chairman of the Association of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons (ARVS) and acts as veterinary examiner and adviser for Irish Draught Society (GB) as well as carrying out vet inspections for BEF futurity. He is on the JMB measuring panel, carries out licensed Riding School inspections and officiates as an FEI veterinary delegate in eventing, dressage and show jumping.
Outside the practice, Liam enjoys occasional days hunting, National Hunt breeding and following racing as well as other sports.

Andrew qualified from Liverpool University in 1988 and joined the practice in 1993. His particular interests are veterinary anaesthesia, internal medicine and echo-cardiography. He has been awarded the RCVS Certificates in both Equine Practice and Veterinary Anaesthesia.
Andrew is the senior veterinary surgeon at Worcester Racecourse and is also a registered examiner with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in Equine Veterinary Nursing and for the veterinary Certificate In Equine Practice. He is a former President of BEVA, a role which saw him deeply involved in championing the health and welfare of horses throughout the world.
Outside the practice, Andrew enjoys road cycling and rowing.

Mark graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in 1996 and spent his early years in a Thoroughbred and Standardbred racehorse practice in the South Island of NZ. He travelled to the UK in 1999 where, following a period of locum work, he settled at the Sussex Equine Hospital for 3 years, here meeting his future wife, Fiona. They returned to New Zealand to work at Matamata in a Thoroughbred racing and stud practice.
Mark obtained his membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Medicine in 2004 before returning to the UK to join Three Counties Equine Hospital in 2005. He gained his RCVS Certificate in Equine Surgery (Soft Tissue) in 2010. His main clinical interests are in lameness, back pain (orthopaedics), pre-purchase examination and surgery.
Mark’s non-professional interests include road cycling, mountain biking and occasionally sampling the latest Kiwi Sav Blanc harvest.

John is originally from Northern Ireland and qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1999. Following 3 years in large animal practice in the UK, he travelled to the Southern Hemisphere completing one stud season in New Zealand and two in Australia. On his return, he joined TCEH in 2005 and became a partner in 2012.
John enjoys all aspects of working in a busy equine hospital and the varied case load which that presents, however he has a particular interest in stud and neonatal medicine.

Becky qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2005 and spent 18 months in mixed practice in Cornwall prior to travelling to Australia where she completed a 2 year internship at Scone Veterinary Hospital. It was here she gained vast experience in neonatal medicine, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging.
Becky joined Three Counties Equine Hospital in 2009 and furthered her interest in diagnostic imaging, lameness investigations and sports medicine. Becky gained her Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice in equine diagnostic imaging and currently helps with many of the Scintigraphic and MRI examinations.
Outside work Becky is a keen runner and has recently started a very novice triathlon career! She also enjoys skiing and spending time at the coast in Devon and Cornwall with friends and family.

Ed Shaw graduated from Massey University in New Zealand. Ed has worked in equine practice in the UK since 2000, and he brings with him a wealth of experience particularly in orthopaedics, lameness investigation, diagnostic imaging and reproduction.
Outside of work Ed enjoys rugby, racing and beer (not necessarily in that order).

Vicky is a specialist in Equine Internal Medicine with a particular interest in equine critical care and neonatology. She graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2013 and spent the following year in mixed practice in Yorkshire. She then completed an internship in equine medicine and critical care at Scone Equine Hospital in Australia. It was during this time her interest in all aspects of equine medicine, but particularly neonatal care and stud medicine were established. After her internship, Vicky shuttled between Northern and Southern hemisphere breeding seasons as a stud vet for two years before embarking on a residency in Equine Internal Medicine at the University of Bristol, which she completed in July 2020. During this time she also undertook research into equine acute kidney disease and trigeminal-mediated headshaking. She joined the team at TCEH in October 2020. Vicky has been awarded an RCVS certificate in advanced veterinary practice and holds a masters degree in veterinary parasitology.
Outside of work, Vicky enjoys running and can be found on nearby trails accompanied by her over-enthusiastic collie and slightly disgruntled westie. She also enjoys kitesurfing, snowboarding and riding when time allows.

Charlotte completed a BA Degree in Equine Studies at Moreton Morrell, before joining TCEH in July 2004 as an assistant receptionist. Over the years, Charlotte has worked in reception and accounts before becoming Practice Manager in 2022. In her spare time, Charlotte likes to spend time with her family and friends, promoting her minority breed spaniels and watching her boys on the side of a rugby pitch or cricket field.

Sallyann completed a degree in equine science from University Of West England, Hartpury College. She then went on to work in equine nutrition before joining the practice in September 2012. Sallyann is also a registered SQP and spends some of her time here at Three Counties giving worming advice. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with friends, spending time with her family retired horse and her dogs.
