Crystal joined TCEH in 2006, having worked for the previous 4 years at the ILPH, now called World Horse Welfare. She is a qualified BHS assistant instructor and graduated from Hartpury College in 2010 with a diploma in Equine Veterinary Nursing. She is one of our clinical coaches so is involved in the training of our student veterinary nurses. Crystal has a special interest in AI, nutrition, intensive care and foal care, and is also one of our MRI nurses.
Outside of practice life Crystal has Captain, her horse who is enjoying his retirement, and she also owns several dogs (mostly spaniels) some of which she regularly competes with at agility.

Annie joined TCEH in 2012 as part of her 60 week work placement while studying towards a degree in equine veterinary nursing at Hartpury college. Annie continued to work part time during her final year of studies before returning full time after graduating in 2014. She has a particular interest in intensive care nursing and surgical nursing. Outside of work she has ex-racehorse, Des and black labrador, Inky to keep her busy.

Sarah joined TCEH in September 2018. She graduated from Writtle College with a BSc(Hons) in Equine Studies in 2013 and in 2022 from Hartpury University to qualify as an RVN. Sarah is one of our theatre and scintigraphy nurses and has a particular interest in emergency, surgical and intensive care nursing.
Outside of work Sarah enjoys spending time with her Labrador, George and her two horses, Poppy and ex-racehorse Mr Macho.

Kirsty joined the team in 2019 as one of our nursing assistants, she has a particular interest in emergency and intensive care nursing. She gained her RVN qualification from Hartpury in 2023.
Outside of work Kirsty enjoys walking her dogs and caring for her ponies.

I joined the practice 2022 and have been a fully qualified veterinary nurse for 2 years after completing my BSc (Hons) Equine Veterinary Nursing Science degree at Hartpury University. I’m one of the scintigraphy nurses as I’m interested in diagnostic imaging, but I also love inpatient care. Outside of work I enjoy taking my cocker spaniels for long walks and spending time with my horse.

Lauren joined the team at TCEH in 2021 after working in racing for 4 years. In 2017 Lauren completed her Bsc Hons degree in Equine Sports science and is particularly interested in intensive care nursing and breeding.
Outside of work Lauren enjoys riding racehorses and hacking out with friends.

I joined TCEH in 2022 for my placement year at Hartpury university as part of my nursing degree, since then I have remained on the team part time. I have developed an interest in emergency nursing, and I am looking forward to developing my knowledge. In my spare time I enjoy walking my labrador Clover, she keeps me constantly busy with long walks on the beach and around the hills in the area.

Before joining tceh worked at a veterinary charity hospital working with small animals for 4 years, prior to this worked at a competition yard and riding school while studying an equine course at Rodbaston College in south Staffordshire.
I am excited to progress into veterinary nursing, I really enjoy inpatient care and emergency hours/environment.
Outside of work I enjoy hacking and small cross country rides as well as relaxing with my dog Sadie and love and support from my nan who is my best friend.

I joined TCEH as a nursing assistant in May 2026, having graduated with an MSc in Animal Behaviour from Exeter in 2021. I find it incredibly rewarding to apply my behavioural background to support horses through their recovery, while also enjoying the hands-on, practical side of assisting with lameness investigations and diagnostic imaging. Looking ahead, I am eager to use this experience to qualify as a Registered Equine Veterinary Nurse in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy riding, exploring new cultures and landscapes, and reading.
