An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated equine vet to join our excellent and friendly team of 22 vets at Three Counties Equine Hospital. The role will be predominantly ambulatory, and all interests will be supported. There is the opportunity to follow up your own cases in the hospital, with support if necessary. We welcome applications with two years of experience.
Job Description
We are a first opinion ambulatory practice and referral hospital situated on the Worcestershire, Gloucestershire & Herefordshire borders, where high clinical standards, excellent communication skills and teamwork are imperative.
The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for the role that involves routine first opinion ambulatory services with the back-up of a hospital to carry out lameness and poor performance investigations, advanced procedures and medical work ups.
You will be encouraged to develop your interests, with support from senior colleagues and diplomats in surgery and internal medicine. In addition, support by our team of awesome nurses is available both in the hospital and the ambulatory setting.
We have a large array of state-of-the-art equipment including portable digital radiography and ultrasonography, endoscopy including dynamic endoscopy, gastroscopy, scintigraphy and MRI.

5 days CPD actively encouraged and supported
30.5 days holiday annually, including bank holidays.
An extra day off on your birthday
4.5 day week as standard.

Work Experience
Here at Three Counties Equine Hospital LLP we are happy to provide school pupils (aged 15 yrs and over) weekly work experience placements for pupils who are particularly interested in a career in Equine Veterinary Nursing or Veterinary Medicine.
Placements are offered on an observational basis with the possibility of some horse handling. Pupils will work alongside our veterinary surgeons and nursing team based here at the clinic. These placements may be part of the formal school work experience programme or arranged informally during school holidays.

ApplyExtra-Mural Studies (EMS)
We accept veterinary students here at Three Counties Equine Hospital for Extra-Mural Studies placements. We would advise the EMS students spend a minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of 4 weeks with us. During their time here students will have the opportunity to observe and assist in many aspects of equine medicine and surgery. Students will also be able to go out on calls with our veterinary surgeons.
Unfortunately we are unable to provide ‘on site’ accommodation but can supply a list of local accommodation.
