Liam Kearns, MVB MRCVS

Liam qualified from University College Dublin in 1983. He worked in Fermoy, County Cork and Nottingham before moving to Upton upon Severn in 1986. He was a co-founding partner of Kearns & Rea Veterinary Surgeons in 1989.
Liam’s main interests are in National Hunt Racing, Point to Pointing and Sport Horse disciplines. He is a former chairman of the Association of Racecourse Veterinary Surgeons (ARVS).
Outside the practice, Liam enjoys occasional days hunting, National Hunt breeding and trying to keep up with an active Pony Club family.

Chris Rea, BVM&S MRCVS
Partner
Chris qualified from Edinburgh University in 1984. His particular interests are surgery, lameness, pre-purchase examinations and stud medicine. He is in the process of acquiring further qualifications relating to orthopaedic surgery.
Chris is a past president of the British Equine Veterinary Association, the primary source of Continuing Education for equine practitioners.
He has been on the Doncaster Sales Veterinary Panel for many years and sits on the Veterinary Advisory Committee for the Horserace Betting Levy Board (HBLB). He also chairs the HBLB’s Codes of Practice (Equine Venereal Disease Control) group.
Outside the practice, Chris continues to ski and fly.

Andrew Harrison, BVSc, CertEP, CertVA, MRCVS
Partner
Andrew qualified from Liverpool University in 1988 and joined the practice in 1993. His particular interests are veterinary anaesthesia, internal medicine and echo-cardiography. He has been awarded the RCVS Certificates in both Equine Practice and Veterinary Anaesthesia.
Andrew is involved in equine veterinary nurse education and is a registered examiner with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in Equine Veterinary Nursing. He has also recently been appointed by the RCVS as an examiner for the Certificate in Equine Practice. He has organised and lectured at several anaesthesia courses on behalf of BEVA (British Equine Veterinary Association). He is the Senior Veterinary Surgeon for Worcester racecourse.

Outside the practice, Andrew enjoys distance running, and competes regularly in fell races and mountain marathons.

Graham Potts, BVetMed MRCVS
Partner
Graham qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 1983 and spent several years in mixed practice in the UK before working in Sydney, Australia in equine practice. He returned to join Three Counties Equine Hospital in 1990.
His particular interests are sports medicine, soft tissue surgery and gastroenterology and regularly provides veterinary cover at Ludlow, Worcester and Hereford races.
Graham has spent a decade working with the Australian Equestrian Team as their UK-based vet and regularly attends the major 3 day events in the UK and Europe as part of their support team. He has been involved in 3 World Games and attended his 3rd Olympic Games in 2008 in Hong Kong. He also enjoys Point to Pointing and National Hunt Racing and has interests in both codes but to date has failed to make enough money on which to retire! As a washed-up rugby player and referee, Graham now enjoys spectating at as many major internationals as he can get to and has recently developed a penchant for test cricket. He also enjoys travel and particularly enjoys wildlife tours, having recently been tiger watching in India and whale watching in Australia.

Mark Georgetti, BVSc, MACVSc, MRCVS CV

Mark graduated from Massey University in New Zealand in 1996 and cut his teeth working with Thoroughbred and Standardbred racehorses in the South Island. He travelled to the UK in 1999 where, following a period of locum work, he settled at the Arundel Veterinary Hospital, West Sussex for 3 years, here meeting his future wife, Fiona. They returned to New Zealand to work at Matamata in TB, stud and racing practice.
Mark obtained his membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Medicine in 2004 before returning to the UK to join Three Counties Equine Hospital in 2005. His main interests are in lameness, surgery and stud medicine.
Mark’s non professional interests include rugby, triathlons, kayaking and occasionally sampling the latest Kiwi Sav Blanc harvest.

Luise J Harrison, BVSc PhD CertEO MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Luise qualified from Liverpool University in 1987, spent the following year as a Large Animal Intern in Canada and then returned to Liverpool to complete a Residency in Equine Orthopaedics, gaining her RCVS Certificate in this subject in 1993. Two years in private equine practice were followed by a study into mechanisms of fracture repair at the University of Bristol, for which she was awarded a PhD. She joined Three Counties Equine Hospital in 1999 where she continues to pursue her interest in the investigation and treatment of lameness and in surgery, particularly colic surgery and fracture repair.
Outside the practice, Luise enjoys skiing, gardening and keeping pace with her young family and their assorted menagerie, which includes their lead-rein pony, ILPH Magic Mushroom.

James L Robinson, BVSc MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
James qualified from Bristol University in 1991. After qualifying, he spent a couple of years in mixed practice. He has worked part-time at TCEH since he joined the practice in 2002.
James combines part-time work at the practice with event riding. He represented England in the European Event Championships at Blenheim in 1995.

John Campbell, BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
John is originally from Northern Ireland and qualified from the University of Glasgow in 1999. Following 3 years in large animal practice in the UK, he travelled to the Southern Hemisphere completing one stud season in New Zealand and two in Australia. On his return, he joined TCEH in 2005.
John has a special interest in all aspects of equine surgery, especially soft tissue surgery and hopes to complete a RCVS Certificate in this subject. He has further interests in stud medicine and equine dentistry.
Outside work. John enjoys the odd run across the Malvern Hills and tries to get to the races as much as possible, especially the local Point to Points.

Claire Gilbert, MA, VetMB, MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Claire originates from Worcestershire and was a keen member of Clifton-on-Teme Pony Club as a youngster. She saw practice as a student at TCEH before graduating from Cambridge University in 2004. After qualifying as a vet she worked in first opinion equine practice in Dorset and Norfolk, returning to TCEH in 2007. She enjoys all aspects of equine work, both ambulatory and clinic based, but has a special interest in medicine cases and is currently studying for a certificate.
In her spare time Claire enjoys walking, running, skiing and watching point to pointing and jump racing. She has tried out most equestrian sports including hunting, riding out in racing yards and playing polo, and hopes to have a horse again in the future when time allows!

Fiona Georgetti BVM&S, MRCVS
Fiona qualified from Edinburgh University in 2001. She worked in mixed practice in Sussex and then the Waikato region of New Zealand, predominantly working with thoroughbreds, before returning to equine practice in Warwickshire in 2004.

Fiona joined the practice on a part time basis after the birth of her and Mark’s daughter Olivia in 2006. Outside of work life is quite hectic with Olivia, a young Labrador and a 23 year old Shetland pony called Teddy. When time allows Fiona enjoys riding of any kind but preferably polo or hunting, as well as running and skiing.

Claire Williams BVMS, MRCVS
Claire qualified from University of Glasgow in 2006 and then spent 18 months in a large mixed animal practice in Cardiff. Claire returned to her home county and joined TCEH in August 2008 where she saw much of her practice as a student. Claire is responsible for the daily care of the in patients. Her particular interests are internal medicine, anaesthesia and diagnostic imaging. Claire enjoys travelling and a variety of outdoor activities including skiing, snowboarding and running and regularly competes in charity races.

Becky Wall BVM&S, MRCVS
Becky qualified from Glasgow University in 2005 and then worked in mixed practice in Cornwall for a year before travelling to Australia to work in a large equine Practice in Scone. She returned to the UK when joining us in January 2009. Becky enjoys all aspects of equine work but is particularly interested in anaesthesia, diagnostic imaging and neonatal medicine. Out of work Becky enjoys skiing and walking and is often seen running the roads of ripple and the surrounds.
